I personally think headings are kind of usefull. I mean I don't normally pay attention to them but there an eye catcher when the header is bolded. Back to the point. Headers are important because you can have a small and clear idea of what to find or what you are reading. Without it you woudn't know where to find what you need to or you wouldn't have any idea of what your reading.
